ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES

Grade 4 Studentpedia Page


 

Each class will be studying pollution, energy, endangered animals and deforestation, and the interconnectedness of life.  Mr. John, for example, will be teaching all Grade 4 classes about Pollution while Ms. Tiffany will teach all the Grade 4 classes about Energy.

 

For their studentpedia page, however, they will focus on their homeroom teacher's focus

 

This project is integrated with Ms. Linda (Library), Mr. D and Ms. Rocio (IT), and the Grade 4 Team!

 


 

 

Mr. John's class is focusing on POLLUTION.

Group 1: Air pollution

Group 2: Water pollution

Group 3: Land pollution

Group 4: Noise pollution

Group 5: Radioactive pollution

Group 6: Thermal pollution

Group 7: Light pollution

 

Each group should define their assigned pollution, determine causes, and ways in which we can prevent the pollution.


Ms. Tiffany's class is focusing on ENERGY.

Ms. Charlane's class is focusing on ENDANGERED ANIMALS AND DEFORESTATION.

Ms. Charlane's class: Research and find 1 endangered animal and 1 area of deforestation.  Describe why the animal is endangered and why the area is being deforested.  Find specific numbers and trends (are the numbers dropping or are they getting better?).  Also, describe what government policies are in place that are bad for the animal/forest and what government policies are helping the animal/forest.


Mr. Jason's class is focusing on the INTERCONNECTEDNESS OF LIFE.
